Asserting and receiving are 2 different components that creates the result of the interaction between more than one being. What is necessary to create anything is both male and female energy. Assert + receive = conception.
At face value, communication expressed (assertion) is masculine energy, whereas comprehension (receiving) is feminine. Too much of either will not lead to ideal conception. In fact, too much of either introduces resistance to the act of conception as opposed to allowing things to flow naturally.
It's ok to connect the dots looking back, just be aware of your state of being going forward. I'll expand slightly more; 2 examples on the opposite end of the spectrum:
If you're in a heated argument ... are you busy asserting or receiving? What is your general focus/feeling or ... point of attraction?
If you're in a fun conversation ... are you busy creating resistance or allowing things to flow? Again, what is your general focus/feeling or point of attraction?
Gaining any clarity yet? You are at this point reading this because expansion for clarity is something you want to pursue. Be it inspired impulse or contrast or natural confirmation ... Keep reading on ...
Momentum takes off in the direction of what a person gives attention toward. Both above scenarios evoke a different emotion, without physical evidence into any single person's experience, however, we CAN find ways to attach those emotions to our unique experiences. And that simply suggest that we're able to identify the emotions, the necessary cooperative components and what isn't, to any situation, you see.
If you're able to use senses and know how something feels ... it's easier to assume a state of being that will lead to the path of least resistance, right?
The important thing to understand:
What someone else is doing isn't anywhere near important as your perception to what it is that they're doing. That is the only thing one can control. YOUR state of being should be secured or it will probably be susceptable to shifting into another state. So which is more important? Communication or comprehension? Neither and both. They work in tandem. Deliberate intention to creating a better experience hinges on the balance.
